Kodi media player, formerly known as XBMC, is the de-facto medial player for many home theatre PCs. With the following add-ons, users can enjoy an even better experience.
• Genesis – This is much like the stand-alone app Popcorn Time that provides a very convenient curated list of movies and TV shows from a variety of online sources. Using actor or movie search, users will get a list of hits with covers from various sources.
• Navi-X – This app allows users to create their own playlist of music, photos and movies drawn from various online sources, which can be viewed and shared by other Navi-X users.
• Veetle – This app streams from the Veetle website and provides a venue for user-made television channels. All streams are live. The app does not use a video-on-demand system. Most of what it streams right now are television marathons such as all of the Game of Thrones episodes in a row.
• 1Channel – This is a user-friendly streaming media add-on that draws media from cloud drives and steams them directly to the users’ stream.
• SHOUTcast 2 – This is an internet radio add-on that allows users to listen to thousands of online radio stations using the Kodi interface. It is user-friendly with channels organised by Genre.
• SickBeard and CouchPotato – These apps automatically download TV shows and movies. They allow users to control the apps from within Kodi’s easy to use interface.
