Cord Cutting

Cord cutting refers to switching from traditional cable, satellite and Freeview packages to television over the web. Its main benefit is that you are free to watch what you like when you like it instead of watching TV on a schedule – often without paying a hefty monthly subscription.
Watching shows over the internet isn’t something new. However, big broadcasters are now offering online packages designed to change the traditional ways of tuning in. The basics remain the same: you need to get TV on demand, wirelessly and as you need it. Netflix is leading the charge of cord cutting allowing you to watch shows anytime from just about any kind of device.
If you’re ready to take the leap, there’s a plenty of choices waiting for you. These include Sky, Now TV, and Sky Q. To get content to your TV, you may choose from an Apple TV, a Roku, or an Amazon Fire streamer. Choosing the best one is easier as most of them run the same apps and services.
However, all the available bits of kit have their own pros and cons. For example, if you want movies and TV shows from iTunes, this limits your choices to just Apple hardware. Meanwhile, a Chromecast can stream pretty much anything and it is cheap.
