New Fire TV OS to Block Kodi

The new OS update coming out this autumn will block 3rd party apps, including Kodi, sources have claimed. Although the information is yet to be confirmed, experts say that it is creditable. Amazon has previously targeted Kodi last year after it claimed that Kodi was “facilitating piracy.”

The move, which seems to be an effort to appease Amazon’s content partners in Hollywood, is expected to not sit very well with millions of device owners who are fans of Kodi.

However, the real victim here, if the reports are true, is the Kodi team who has struggled to separate their legal application from all the add-ons that promote piracy.
